San Diego Cemetery Sacrifice Foiled

from ABC News: Two San Diego-area women are being applauded for stopping a man accused of slashing the arms of his eight-year-old son because he heard “voices in his head.”
The women, Jaymisha Pires and Corey Granberry, both 21, were visiting Mount Hope Cemetery in San Diego Saturday afternoon when they saw Joseph Ramirez, 30, who was holding three children by a grave surrounded with plastic bottles and candles. Police told ABC San Diego affiliate KGTV that Ramirez said he heard the voice of his dead grandmother telling him to sacrifice the boy, then took a piece of broken glass and slashed the boy’s forearms.That’s when Pires, who herself has two small children, started begging Ramirez to let the kids go.“My motherly instincts kicked in when I saw him hurting that little boy,” said Pires to the San Diego Union Tribune.

Ancient '#BoneBox' Called Oldest Christian Artifact

from foxnews.com: Long-unrecognized lettering confirms that first-century artifacts found within an ancient Jerusalem tomb are the earliest representations of Christianity ever found, researchers say. Two Hebrew scholars who examined photographs showing the inside of the tomb agree that markings on an ossuary - a box made to hold human remains — are stylized letters that spell out the name of Jonah, the researchers said Thursday (April 19). Jonah was the Old Testament prophet whose story of being swallowed by a great fish was embraced by the early followers of Jesus. The tomb, located 6.5 feet (2 meters) below an apartment building in the East Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem, was discovered in 1981 but resealed after Orthodox Jewish groups opposed its excavation. Two decades later, the group got license to enter the tomb, which has been dated to before A.D. 70. Researchers led by James Tabor of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte did not enter the tomb themselves but instead used a remote camera to explore it. Their analysis of the images was reported Feb. 28 in the journal The Bible and Interpretation. The Hebrew scholars' translation of the stylized letters on the ossuary have yet to be published.

Cold Weather Linked to Witchcraft Trials

Fitting the pattern, scholars argue that cold weather may have spurred the infamous Salem witch trials in 1692. The theory, first laid out by the economist Emily Oster in her senior thesis at Harvard University eight years ago, holds that the most active era of witchcraft trials in Europe coincided with a 400- year period of lower-than-average temperature known to climatologists as the "little ice age." ...The notion that weather may have instigated those trials is being revived by Salem State University historian Tad Baker in his forthcoming book, "A Storm of Witchcraft" (Oxford University Press, 2013). Building on Oster's thesis, Baker has found clues in diaries and sermons that suggest a harsh New England winter really may have set the stage for accusations of witchcraft. According to the Salem News, one clue is a document that mentions a key player in the Salem drama, Rev. Samuel Parris, whose daughter Betty was the first to become ill in the winter of 1691-1692 because of supposed witchcraft. In that document, "Rev. Parris is arguing with his parish over the wood supply," Baker said. A winter fuel shortage would have made for a fairly miserable colonial home, and "the higher the misery quotient, the more likely you are to be seeing witches." Psychology obviously played an important role in the Salem events; the young girls who accused their fellow townsfolk of witchcraft are believed to have been suffering from a strange psychological condition known as mass hysteria. However, the new theory suggests the hysteria may have sprung from dire economic conditions. "The witchcraft trials suggest that even when considering events and circumstances thought to be psychological or cultural, key underlying motivations can be closely related to economic circumstances," Oster wrote.

Penn St Scandal Update: 'Game Over' and Paterno Family Reaction

"Game Over," a book by two former Pittsburgh Post Gazette writers went on sale, Tuesday. It's likely an attempt to capitalize on recent Penn St scandal, but it's already attracted ire of Paterno Family. Deadspin article, "How Jerry Sandusky’s Book, 'Touched,' Led Investigators To Other Possible Victims," is a direct except from the book. The book may be a faithful telling of how the scandal unfolded if the excerpt is any indication. It appears that a paroxysm of pain will surface in following days as public digests book's contents. The family statement only assisted writers in gaining a wider audience. It'll be interesting if there is something new, but it will likely lean towards a regurgitation of scandal as it went to press. The present writer points out pedophilia game is only over at Penn St for a little while!

Posing With Dead Represents Grim Degeneration

There are more inappropriate pictures of US soldiers posed with corpses. Zen Haven writes about the latest incident in "U.S. Troops Posed With Body Parts of Afghan Bombers". One sentence in the article catches the eye, referring to someone placing "an unofficial platoon patch reading “Zombie Hunter” next to other remains and took a picture." Does it represent a grim degeneration of the human spirit to deprive "others" of human dignity? The article seems to rationalize the behavior with an account of the loss of fellow soldiers during their deployment - but what's happening inside these soldiers is the greater question? Are they merely hardened and cold? Has something given way inside them? How will they behave for the remainder of their lives? The present writer suspects it's an attack on human dignity, reducing respect for humanity to the same treatment as taking out the garbage. Is the key a rationalization that "others" are less human? A prior post, Zombies and predictive programming, hints that this may represent a dangerous indoctrination.

Norway Shooter Anders Breivik Pleads Not Guilty, Cries in Court

Anders Breivik told the court he acknowledged the mass murder but pleaded not guilty, claiming it was done in self-defense as part of his war against "multiculturalism" in the European nation. He expressed no emotion as he entered his plea but broke down and had to wipe away tears when the court played a portion of a propaganda video he had made in support of his new "crusade" in Norway. Breivik is accused of carrying out the July 2011 bombing in Oslo, Norway, that killed eight people, followed by a shooting spree at a nearby youth summer camp that claimed another 69 lives... In his manifesto, Breivik said that getting arrested and put on trial was just another part of the overall plan. "Your arrest will mark the initiation of the propaganda phase," he wrote. "Your trial offers you a stage to the world."

The documentary offers suspicion when the Olympic, a sister ship was damaged in a collision with another vessel a plot hatched to sink her in an insurance scam.  The ships were identical and needed only to change names on bow, stern, name plates on lifeboats and life belts to complete a switch, according to video.  Was it only insurance fraud? 

40 clergy abuse victims 'took own lives' in Victoria

from skynews.com.au: Confidential police reports have detailed the suicides of at least 40 people sexually abused by Catholic clergy in Victoria, Fairfax Media says. The reports say the church appears to have known about a shockingly high rate of suicides and premature deaths but has chosen to remain silent, according to The Age newspaper. The reports, written by Detective Sergeant Kevin Carson, urge a new inquiry into these and many other deaths suspected to be linked to abuse in the church. Investigators discovered an inordinate number of suicides which appear to be a result of sexual offending while inquiring into paedophile clergy. They linked at least 40 suicides to the sexual abuse perpetrated by a small number of paedophile clergy, including Gerard Ridsdale, Bryan Coffey, Paul Ryan, Robert Best and Edward Dowlan. Most of the victims were abused between the 1960s and late 1980s. One of the reports says it would appear an investigation would uncover many more deaths as a consequence of clergy sexual abuse.

Details of Sullivan Meth-for-Sex Bust and Slap-on-Wrist Sentence

Former Arapahoe Sheriff Patrick Sullivan saw his name removed from detention center last Tuesday, in place since 2002, in honor of his career.  Sullivan was convicted just a week earlier for possession of meth and soliciting prostitution in infamous "meth-for-sex" bust.  Denver Post reveals light sentence, seems to lend support to idea, Sullivan may be protected if not entirely untouchable: 

"Sullivan, 69, ...was sentenced to 30 days in jail and two years of probation after after pleading guilty to felony possession of methamphetamine and soliciting for prostitution. He also was fined $1,100."

'Esoteric Agenda' Movie

Esoteric Agenda, a 2008 movie by Ben Stewart, exposes long term agenda of elite to move civilization into a New World Order (NWO). A four year old movie may seem dated, but is still worth watching for depiction of organized forces at work. The movie observes coincidence of pagan sabbats with world events, e.g., - Vernal Equinox and Second Gulf War - and should wake up viewers to occult influence behind actions! Esoteric Agenda is a great education, including The Report from Iron Mountain, the influence of the Council on Foreign Relations and Agenda 21, it comes with caveat to stop short of buying everything the picture is selling.

Two reviews of Esoteric Agenda are noteworthy, the first review shows how New Age solutions coincide with elite goals:

This is just disgusting. You sure know who she reports to as well. The Knights Templars’ cross insignia is on her chest (reflected, so twice) and is the dominant image on her crown." The Queen reports to the god of this world, it appears, but she may be close to checking out?

Witch 'King' reveals bid to set up occult centre in Bristol

Magus Lynius Shadee says he is in the final stages of securing a venue in Park Row for his centre. The 66-year-old wants it to be the start of a franchise, and making an unusual comparison he told the Evening Post: "It will be a bit like McDonalds, but we encourage vegetarianism." Mr Shadee, who divides his time between homes in France and London, calls himself a practising occultist. He says his centre will offer services including ritual work, witchcraft and exorcisms. He would not reveal the exact location of the centre, but says he has found a site in Park Row which will be good because of its proximity to the university's buildings. He said: "Hopefully the Bristol centre will bud the seed of franchised occult centres across the country." Mr Shadee, who has previously tried to open a centre in Cambridge and also tried to stand to become the city's next MP, said that his centre would be different to pagan centres because it would be "much more heavily involved". He said: "We don't preach, we prove. For instance, if sceptics out there wanted to see a materialisation – a ghost – we would go and show them that. It is all about channeling nature's energy. We believe in life after death, that the body dies but the soul and mind continue."

Ancient Chinese Graveyard Ritual Goes Online

Due to growing concerns about property ownership (you can only own land for 70 years in China) to the cost of funeral plots, China has been urging its people to conduct eco friendly burials. Pushing these land saving methods of burials through sea, tree, and floral burials for its deceased China has created a cultural problem, no graves or tombs to "sweep". Traditionally the tomb-sweeping holiday is a ritual used to appease and show respect to deceased ancestors and loved ones. Families would get together to visit grave sites with food and wine. They would sweep and clean the grave marker, burn some incense offer a quick prayer and burn some paper money or tokens. There has even been burning tokens of paper BMW's and paper iPads to show respect. The idea is that the burning of the paper token in this world means that those in the afterlife will have extra "ghost money" or a ghost iPad.

However because of the recent push towards sea, tree and flower burials, there may not be a grave marker or a tomb site to sweep at all. Luckily, ingenious Chinese leaders and Hong Kong businessmen have come out with a new solution. They invented E-tomb-sweeping, which as been around since 2006. The process of e-tomb-sweeping is simple; mourners can set up an online memorial and pay their respects online by burning virtual incense and pouring virtual tea. One big government sponsored online cemetery is HeavenCemetery.com which was founded in 2009. For the basic features they offer completely free service. Users can post a few pictures of the deceased and write as many words as they see fit. If the user decides to upload more pictures, or even audio and visual, it will start costing money. According to Heaven Cemetery's website, each memorial comes with a personalized URL, and can be either public or private. Despite it's solemn nature, some folks have been having a little "fun", making memorials for passed celebrities and such. A quick glance over many of the public memorials and you can find one for people such as Steve Jobs and Whitney Houston. The current trend of online tomb-sweeping taking off in cities across China becoming a convenient way for Chinese working faraway from home to pay their respects without having to travel. Last year, a Shanghai based company called "Eternal Home" set up China and arguably the world's first 3D online cemetery.

New photo shows old man Manson at 77

Charles Manson, the most notorious mass murderer imprisoned in California and perhaps the nation, stares glumly at a camera, holding his booking number in front of him. In the latest photo released by the California Department of Corrections, the 77-year-old Manson is gray-haired and gray-bearded, a shadow of the shaggy haired, wild-eyed killer whose visage glared from the covers of magazines in 1969. He was a cult leader back then, the domineering force behind a rag-tag family of followers who said they killed for him. Next Wednesday, Manson faces his 12th parole hearing. It could be his last because state law now allows a denial of parole for up to 15 years. The chances that he will be released are nil and he has told his jailers that he doesn't plan to attend the hearing. But California Department of Corrections spokeswoman Terry Thornton said he could change his mind at the last minute. Manson has not attended a parole hearing since 1997, when he rambled on for hours, denying that he had killed anyone and espousing the beliefs that guided his cult. "I'm not saying that I wasn't involved. I'm saying that I did not break man's law nor did I break God's law. Consider that in the judgments that you have for yourselves. Good day. Thank you," he told the parole board.

"Noting Amendola’s various withdrawals and concessions, McGettigan called the hearing 'pointless.' 'He folded his tents,' McGettigan said. 'The defendant did not wish to hear the litany of perversions he was accused of and, in fact, he committed. I would submit the commonwealth’s effort is to litigate this case in court. On the contrary, what we have is countless trees dying for motions filed and countless batteries dying as it’s litigated [before the media]. All of this perhaps, it would seem, to keep victims from having their day in court.' The only limit to the motions Amendola might file, McGettigan said, is the capacity of his word processor." Between his analysis of Amendola’s strategy, McGettigan brought up The Second Mile, the charity Sandusky founded. 'The Second Mile [was], no matter its purported purpose, was for the defendant, a victim factory,' McGettigan said. 'An assembly factory for adolescent children to be abused, sodomized, anally raped by this defendant.'"

The prosecutor's word selection is quite interesting in describing primary purpose of Second Mile Charity!  McGettigan used phrase, "no matter its 'purported purpose', was for the defendant, a victim factory..."  Why wouldn't the senior deputy AG simply leave off the qualifier unless he's not entirely convinced as to its primary mission?  McGettigan said also in interview that followed hearing, "... he's puzzled by Sandusky strategy." The Powell tragedy is almost complete as the entire family is deceased. Yet, it seems, a grimmer degeneration lurks in darker circumstances that led to this end. A MSNBC.com article provides police impression rental home was staged, in attempt, to deceive Child Protective Services. Neighbors reported they never saw anyone there. Did Josh intend only a harmless deception to impress social worker, but instead, opted for a deadly escape of judgment? An ABC article reveals Powell changed beneficiaries to his siblings on insurance less than two months prior to taking his life. "Nine days later, both [Josh's siblings] Michael and Alina Powell contacted New York Life Insurance Co. to make a claim on the policies," adds article. Greed is common and relatives are quick to capitalize even on a family member's death, unfortunately. No, it's neither deception or greed that makes this story so dark! The report found that Houston was submerged in bathwater for nearly an hour before a personal assistant found her dead in the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The report provided new details on the death of the 48-year-old singer who died of a combination of heart trouble and cocaine ingestion, the Los Angeles County coroner's office said in a 41-page final report... Investigators found a white, crystalline substance and spoon with residue in the Beverly Hills hotel room where Whitney Houston died in February, the report said.

It also showed that cocaine and heart disease contributed to her death. On a bathroom counter were "a small spoon with a white, crystal-like substance in it and a rolled-up piece of white paper, along with other miscellaneous items," it said. In a nearby drawer were "remnants of a white powdery substance and a portable mirror on a base and on the bottom of that base were more remnants of a white, powdery substance." Authorities collected several bottles of prescription drugs from Houston's suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where she was found dead. But officials have said the amounts of drugs did not seem unusually large.

Houston had battled drug addiction for years, and the coroner's office found traces of several drugs — including marijuana, the anti-anxiety medication Xanax, the muscle relaxant Flexeril as well as Benadryl — in her system. But the coroner's office concluded in March in a preliminary report that those drugs did not contribute to her death. Cocaine did play a role, though officials would not say how much of the drug was in her system.

The ownership has been unclear, who ultimate owners are of opaque company Village Voice Media, owners of both Backpage.com and The Village Voice newspaper.  "That mystery is solved. The owners turn out to include private equity financiers, including Goldman Sachs with a 16 percent stake," reveals Kristoff! "Goldman Sachs was mortified when I began inquiring last week about its stake in America’s leading Web site for prostitution ads. It began working frantically to unload its shares, and on Friday afternoon it called to say that it had just signed an agreement to sell its stake to management," continues Kristoff.  The issue is not restricted to New York City area as law enforcement weighs in from across the country.  It's also about underage kids and runaways forced into sex slavery not just prostitution.  Hats off to Kristof.
